You may be eligible for thousands of dollars to upgrade to a nitrogen removing clean water septic system from programs offered by New York State, Nassau County, and Suffolk County. Available grants can cover up 95% of the cost to install a clean water septic system.

The North Shore Land Alliance, a non-profit land trust can help you find out if you qualify through our Water Quality Improvement Program. The Water Quality Improvement Program is designed to help Long Islanders navigate the clean water septic system grant application and permitting process at no cost. We can guide you through the process of replacing your septic system – from choosing a septic replacement contractor all the way through the installation of the new system.
